I have been in the medical field for 10 years and I love it.I am currently working as a CNA.I have worked in nursing homes, hospitals, home health, and assisted living facilities.

I chose the Paralegal program because I find all aspects of the law interesting. As a Paralegal, there is never a dull moment. Every day the work load changes. New clients, new cases, and new laws.

Instead I would prefer to handle their paperwork and health insurance needs. I am from North Carolina and have only been in New York for the past 6 months. In highschool, I went through boces, and was able to job shadow at the Vetrans Hosptial and saw interesting things. I determined that I wanted to become a nurse. Bryant & Stratton was not my first choice in a school. I wanted to go to Liverpool Boces for Medical Assistant because it was a 6 month program. After looking into it, I discovered that you would only get certified, not get a degree. Then, I looked into Bryant&Stratton and thought it would be better because, after graduation, Most jobs look for people with a degree in their field veruses a certification.

I see a paralegal degree as the starting point of my education and career. My desire is to eventually earn a law degree and advocate for the planet. In high school, I made the decision to put college on hold and enlisted in the United States Army. However, my military career was short-lived as I sustained a knee injury that resulted in a medical discharge.

After i finish at Bryant Stratton my plan is to go to school for a couple more years and obtain my bachelors degree in Networking. I currently do not work because i broke my back at a previous employer and have had numerous back surgeries and although its still a bother today i do not want to sit home for the rest of my life. Some hobbies i enjoy are hunting and fishing and my biggest hobby is playing cards and i can always be found online or the casino and at some home games that i know about.

I am taking paralegal as my program. I only go to school on mondays and wensdays and I do online courses as well. I was going to go to Canton but I decided to stay close to home and couldnt leave my mom and sister alone. I love facebook games when i have nothing to do. I have always been lucky and have worked for many different businesses, but I have never been completely satisfied with what I was doing. I decided then to enroll in school.
